Bio

Jacob Thomas first picked up a guitar eight years ago. What started as a chore eventually became a hobby. That hobby quickly turned into a love and that love, a passion.  At 17, Jacob took his career to new heights releasing his first recorded collection of music. His CD, entitled Livin’ Up (produced by Colby Wedgeworth: Josiah James, Bidwell, Lybecker), received rave reviews from his ever growing fan base. The all original five song EP is filled with upbeat songs that will put a smile on your face and have you singing along in no time.  Jacob has the unique ability to blend catchy melodies with his Christian beliefs. His songs meet you right where you are and offer a stirring message of hope. In short, you will be moved by his music.  At age 18, Jacob began work on a new project: a 2 part series of EPs each consisting of 1 full band track and a handful of acoustic songs that will pave the way for his first ever full length album!  The first of these EPs, entitled “Hands” (produced by Ralph Stover: Amy Grant, Point Of Grace, The Reel) was released in March, 2011 and followed by a heavy touring schedule over the next six months.  The second EP, entitled “Footsteps” (produced by Brian Steckler: Enfield, George Rowe, Danny Donnelly) was just recently released in September 2011.  This CD was followed by another West Coast tour and is being hailed as his best work yet!  Still at only 19 years of age, Jacob has already toured the entire western United States, shared the stage with some of Christian music’s most prominent acts including Chris August and Phil Joel, made appearances at some of the most respected music festivals in the U.S. including Spirit West Coast and Joshuafest and sold over 1100 copies of his CDs independently.  Jacob describes himself as just a normal kid using the talents God gave him for something greater than himself. So tell your friends and help spread the word about his music. Maybe even buy a CD and support his efforts. But most importantly listen to his songs, smile, and be blessed by his work.
